Very fun little story. The first part was very "Comedy of Errors" - Shakespear would have been proud. The second part was just plain sweet - coming of age stuff. Nice though in a non-angsty sort of way. I enjoyed. Thanks for writing. TAG

I should probably take a little break myself; between this horrid cold I have (probably thanks to one of my students) and this writer's block, I'm not getting much done in the way of my next update to "Heart's Desire." Gus is sweet. It made me laugh when he thought things like "I thought I'd never" and the relationship was "finally" consummated after a whole "few days." I enjoyed this series. But now.... on to PHK and HD!!!

Thank God, no subterfuge or twisted complications, just plain honesty - I really like the talk between Justin and Rob, that he got not some Brian-lines "... in your dreams..."
You wrote, that you understand, that not everyone likes Elvis in the assumption, that this was the reason I skiped this story. But I like his songs. It was just the (in my opinion) rather strange title and Justin looks like e clown in the banner. But please, no offense meant!
Oh, and btw, it seems I can't review fast enough for your replys to it, thank you for this, too. I just hope my english is good enough, I'm often unsure about which word to elect and so on...

It's surprising how fast Brian goes from angry to amused if he doesn't feel threatened any more. But I'm a little bothered by, how Brian again and again distrusts Justin; I'd not be happy about it.

After you described Justin gyrating his hips, I stop reading and went to youtube to see Elvis doing the song and now I'd really like to see Randy singing this song and dancing to it - you put an image in my head I'll never forget.
For Gus being hot for a guy who is hot for Justin - hard lesson upon him, I guess.
Author's Response: I could see Randy doing this, too; in fact, he was doing a little bit of exactly that when he sang in "Tommy!" (Yum...!). He has a beautiful singing voice that really doesn't do him justice in the You Tube videos; so clear and strong. Can't wait to see him in another musical someday! This was my favorite chapter. I loved the Elvis word/song play.The Banter between Brian and Justin was as entertaining as usual.
I thought the advice Brian gave to Justin about Gus not falling apart if things don't work out was very on target and showed just how intelligent and how much Brian has matured from being the Stud of Liberty Avenue.
Gus and Rob were so cute together!. I pray it works out.

Wow what a ending. I knew love me tender would be the name of this chapter. It fit so well. Well Gus all grown up now just like his dad. The boys liked all the funnies in this chapter and Justin's little dance number was so cute. I can just picture it. Well girl whats up next parent trap or paper hearts? maybe even our foursome on the political trail. I think all of us are waiting for parent trap reunion next. I absolutely love the buildup here between Gus and Rob. Justin being Justin, and Brian being Brian - we never actually had the chance to watch them 'fall in love'. Being able to watch Rob as he becomes aware of Gus in a whole new way, and Gus as he worries over all the 'normal' new relationship stuff is just such a treat. Really like this chapter alot!
